Tomorrow, would you believe, we're off to the discotheque !

Strictly speaking it's an 80s Daytime Disco in a Club in Hastings. Not your dance the night away affair from years ago, but as advertised it's 3pm to 8pm.

The traditional 70s string-and-horn disco sound had transitioned into synthesizer-heavy beats, electronic drums, and melodic pop structures through the 80s. Bracing itself for the 90s club culture of high-tempo Eurodance, house music and club anthems !

So what might we expect ? Is anyone's guess... !

Italian house group Black Box released "Ride on Time" as a single in July 1989, qualifying it for our 80s theme. Black Box member Italian DJ/producer Daniele Davioli described "Ride on Time" as an attempt to create a dance track with the power of a rock song. The vocals on the song are supplied by Heather Small, while for television appearances, Black Box hired the model Katrin Quinol to mine the vocals.

It topped the UK singles chart for six weeks and became the UK's bestselling single of 1989.
Another reason for picking this track is because tomorrow's venue is the 'Blackbox' Hastings !

And if you doubt all this is true, here's tomorrow's poster -
